We offer the same products as banks, but our profits are reinvested in you!
At Morehead Community Federal Credit Union our members are owners, joined by the belief that we are investing in each other. We offer full-service banking with the goal to help members build a better financial future and we’ve been doing that since 1978!
How are we different from a bank? MCFCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned and controlled by our members. Our Board of Directors are volunteers from the community, elected by our members. Our profits are returned to our members in the form of better rates, lower fees, and improved service.
Are You Eligible?
If you live, work, attend school, or worship in Rowan County KY, you are eligible for membership with us! You may also qualify if you have an immediate family member with an account at the credit union.
Once you become a member, you will have access to all of our products and membership benefits, such as our selection of accounts that pay interest back to you, great low rates on loans, and democratic control over the credit union itself.
How to Join:
Meet membership requirements: As long as you live, work, attend school, or worship in Rowan County, you qualify!
Pay a one-time $1.00 membership fee.
Deposit $5.00 into a Primary Savings Account: This represents your share in the credit union and will remain in your account at all times. Once you’ve opened your savings account, you are free to open other accounts as well!
